1. Behaviour & Safety

To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all children, all participants must be able to follow basic safety instructions and expectations.

Children attending the club must:

  • Follow all safety rules at all times

  • Walk (no running) within the studio/school premises

  • Keep hands and materials to themselves (no play fighting or rough behaviour)

  • Use kind and respectful language towards others

  • Listen to and follow instructions from staff

Pottery equipment and materials require careful and responsible handling. If a child is unable to follow safety instructions consistently, this may pose a risk to themselves or others.

Independence for dismissal:
Children must be able to:

  • Collect their own belongings (coat, bag, etc.)

  • Put on their coat independently (or with minimal assistance appropriate to the setting)

  • Walk with the group to the agreed collection point when instructed

If a child is unable to do this safely and reliably, we may not be able to continue their place in the club.

We aim to be inclusive and supportive of all children; however, participation is dependent on being able to meet these minimum safety requirements.

2. Behaviour Concerns

If a child is struggling to meet the behaviour expectations:

  • Parents/carers will be informed

  • Reasonable support and strategies will be tried where possible

However, if behaviour continues to compromise safety or the running of the group, we reserve the right to withdraw the child’s place. In such cases, refunds will be at our discretion.

3. Collection

Children must be collected promptly at the agreed finish time.

  • Parents/carers must be present at the designated pickup location on time

  • If you are running late, you must inform us as soon as possible

4. Refund Policy

  • Cancellations within 14 days of booking: Full refund
